Hobie Cat Raid around Koh Phan Ngan (Gulf of Siam) Ref: RT010A
Hobie Cat expedition in the waters of the Gulf of Siam with navigation around
the island of Phan Ngan and Samui for the discovery of the white sand beaches,
the underwater floors, and the verdant coastline. The fleet is composed of 5 Hobie Cat 16 equipped Raid, and is supervised by an French-speaking guide.

HOBIE CAT SAFARI:

The Hobie Cat allows to reach quickly and freely the creeks and the most remote islands. Every safari is an expedition that gathers a flotilla of 5 Hobie Cat with 9 people maximum by Raid, including the whole nautical equipment as well as food and catering for the bivouac.

Samui Archipelago

You will spend the night under igloo tents set on the trampoline or on the beach and will sail in complete independence with a Hobie Cat specialist guide who knows the region. An ambiance of freedom without constraint will lead your day that is constituted of one or two stages according to your desires and subject to the climatic conditions. A motor-boat follows for assistance.While exploring the coast from creek to creek, you will discover with your Hobie Cat and our guide a different way to know a country, its beaches and its population..

Itinerary: Hobie Cat Raid around Koh Phan Ngan

Jour 1: Koh Phan Ngan (Tongsala)
Preparation of the catamarans then navigation in the gulf of Siam. Night in bungalow.

Jour 2: Koh Phan Ngan / Koh Samui (Big Buddha)
Navigation on South coast of Kho Phan Ngan towards the North coast of Koh Samui, with the possibility to observe the whales and the pink dolphins during your passage. Night in bungalow at Big Buddha Beach.

Jour 3: Koh Samui / Koh Phan Ngan (Hat Rin)
Navigation to the North until Koh Pha Ngan. After pass Hat Rin cap, navigation along the Est coast. Nuit en bungalow at Laem Klang beach.

Raid in Hobie Cat

Jour 4: Koh Phan Ngan
In the morning, small jungle trekking in the island to discover the forest and the vegetation, then navigation to Tong Naï Pan.

Jour 5: Koh Phan Ngan
Morning free at leisure at the Royal Waterfall of Tong Naï Pan, and visit varans (big lizard), then navigation to Koh Ma, small island on the North coast of Koh Phan Ngan.

Jour 6: Koh Phan Ngan (Regatta)
Regatta organised by your guide, including a special itinerary, then continuation southwards of the island to arrive at the Siripum Hotel in the afternoon. In the evening, delicious typical dinner prepared by Mrs Kao. Night in bungalow.

Jour 7: Koh Phan Ngan (Tongsala)
Free day at leisure before to leave to Bangkok or you have the possibility to extend your trip in Koh Phan Ngan, or Koh Tao the famous island for snorkelling and diving.

SIRIPUN HOTEL

The Hotel (60 beds), is situated among coconuts trees close to the city of Tongsala. It is composed of several bungalows, of which the most distant is at 40 metres of the water.

Every room possesses a small terrace, a shower, a toilet, a fan and electricity. The Hotel proposes an excellent complete pension: You will experience at every meal, 5 or 6 different dishes with shrimps, squids, chicken, fish, soup... The breakfasts are copious and really delicious.

The 5 Hobie Cat 16 catamarans can be rented by private groups of twenty people. A raid in Hobie Cat and activities on the islands can be organized in simultaneous: hike on the different beaches around Ko Phan Ngan, mountain bicycling in the island, or scuba diving in Ko Tao.

How to reach Ko Phan Ngan:

By Air (via Koh Samui)
More than 10 flights per day between Bangkok and Koh Samui. Upon arrival in Samui airport, transfer by local taxi local to the Big Bouddha pier, then departure by boat to Koh Phan Ngan. At the arrival in Hat Rin pier, transfer by local taxi to Siripun Bungalow.

By Train (via Surathani)
Departure from the Hualampong Railway Station by train at 10:30 pm. Upon arrival at Surathani, transfer by bus to the pier and departure by boat at 8:00 am. Arrival at Ko Phan Ngan around 9:30 am.

Info: If necessary bring your diving record book or license card, your diving or snorkelling equipment, solar cream, sun glasses, towel and other personal toilet items, hammock, and a sense of adventure!

What to bring for the bivouac: *Take the strict minimum*UCPA

Clothes for sailing: light and ample clothes covering arms and legs for an efficient protection against the sun, a cap, a cut-wind coat, sun glasses, an old pair of sport shoes.

Light clothes: 1 pair of short pants, 3 T-shirts, 1 swimsuit, 1 light trousers, 1 sweater, 1 cut-wind coat, a pair of light shoes for the beach and walks around the bivouac.

Recommended equipment: a sleeping bag or a camping mattress, personal toilet items, toilet paper, light flashlight, solar cream, calabash water bottle and pocket knife. Plan to bring insulated bags for your photo equipment or consider the use of a waterproof Kodak pocket camera. Palms, mask and tuba for swimming.

Remarks: A shorty, the vest and trapeze belts will be provided by our guide. Assistance during the whole length of the raid by a motor-driven boat that will transport the 30 litre waterproof containers (1 container per person for personal belongings), the technical and rescue equipment.

verjoyed to leave the Capital, a small team of adventurers gets ready to leave for Ko Samui. After a flight of less than an hour, it finds itself in a completely different environment of the pretty airport of Ko Samui.
