Leisure on Koh Samet beaches (Rayong) Ref: RT022A
The island of Samet is a little paradise at a few hours of Bangkok,
and is a very good alternative for those who may not have the time
for a longer or more costly journey to the islands in the South of Thailand.

A week-end of leisure on the beaches of Koh Samet

Day 1: Bangkok / Bamphe / Koh Samet

Departure from Bangkok for 3 hours by vehicle. Get in a shuttle boat in the port of Bamphe for 45 minutes of crossing to the bay of Ao Wong Deuan located on the East coast of the island, or to Ao Phrao on the West coast of the island. Upon arrival on the site, check-in in a bungalow for 2 nights.

Free time to enjoy the beach and its activities: banana boat, scooter, canoe, massage, hair plaiting, manicure and tattoos. Dinner and night in bungalow.

Day 2:

Breakfast. Departure by boat from the beach of the Hotel for the tour of the island. Continuation to the North of Koh Samet for the visit of a fish farm (turtle, shark, and many other fishes). Stop at Hat Sai Keow, the island longest beach that offers one of the whitest sand of Thailand. Lunch at a restaurant on the beach. Free time to enjoy the beach with possibility of optional nautical activities (to be paid on location). Return to the hotel in passing round the southern tip of the island and Ko Chan for snorkelling.
Dinner and night in bungalow.

Day 3: Koh Samet / Bangkok

Breakfast. free at leisure until the return by boat to the continent, then departure in vehicle to Bangkok for a trip of about 3 hours

 


In the afternoon, training on sail handling from the beach. All the difficulty being to adapt the surface of the kite to ones weight, technique and the wind power
(extension until 17:00 depending on the wind).

Discovery of islands by speed-boat
Departure in speed-boat with on board life jackets, snorkelling equipment,
and cold drinks, to a group of island situated at the Est of Koh Samet
with passage at Koh Kruai, Koh Kudi, Koh Kang Khao, then Koh Thalu that
is the best site for snorkelling and observe the underwater floor.
Free time on location including lunch box. Back to the hotel in late afternoon.

Incentives...

The accommodation on the island is limited to small compound of bungalows and it is difficult to take lodgings there for important groups. However, there is the possibility to rent one of the bays and its bungalows completely for about thirty people. On the continent, the Rayong Resort (169 rooms) permits to enjoy Koh Samet without having to spend the night on the island (transfer by boat in 15 minutes)

A
fter nearly three hours our vehicle arrives at the port of Ban Phe situated in the region of Rayong. It is pleasant to feel the breeze of the sea while enjoying an early cup of coffee. Before taking the boat for a half an hour trip, our group of friends buy some last minute requisites from the local shops.
